Opening: Ecomuseum in Romania

Gaia-Heritage is proud to announce the opening of the Ecomuseum of the Department of Sibiu (Transyvania, Romania). This open air museum federates seven locations in a development oriented approach: the villages of Saliste, Gura Râului, Valea Viilor, Biertan, Mosna, Sasaus and the summer palace and gardens of Count von Brukenthal in Avrig.The opening took place on the 13th and 14th of July 2007 and then again on 23 September in each of the villages.  Were present at the ceremonies; representatives from the Astra Museum and from the Ministry of Culture, Mayors and officials as well as journalists, inhabitants and tourists.
