Beirut Center for Arts and Culture

On November the 2nd, 2007 in the presence of a large group of artists, curators and others involved in the arts in Lebanon the Ministry of Culture H.E. Tarek Mitri officially announced the signature of a consultancy contract with Gaia-Heritage for the conception of an Arts and Culture Centre in Beirut. The Centre is funded by a grant of 20 million US dollars from the Sultanate of Oman.  Were also present His Excellency Mohammad bin Khalil al-Jarmi, ambassador of Oman in Lebanon and Dr. Georges Zouain (CEO of Gaia-Heritage).  His Excellency Fouad El Siniora Prime Minister of Lebanon joined the gathering.  A discussion between all present followed on the future role of the Centre.
